We are pleased to announce that after four years of outdoor summer production we are now embarking on an indoor winter production system for our microgreens

With the demand for our products being so high we felt we should explore a winter production model. While resistant to using artificial light when we have this giant solar light in the sky, the time has come to attempt year-round production of our microgreens.
 
For now we have started with just our popular sunflower shoots. As our best seller during the summer, and the crop we have the most experience with, sunnies seemed like a safe place to start. As our indoor system gets better established we can introduce our other popular varieties as well.
 
Here are our winter pricing and delivery details:

  • Crops Available: Sunflower Shoots
  • Price: $12.00/450 g bag (1 lb)
  • Delivery: Tuesdays and Fridays to a limited delivery area. Delivery available for grocers, restaurants and residential
  • Payment: All orders COD except already established accounts
  • Minimum Order: Two bags (Exceptions possible if en route to other deliveries)

 

Nothing is more satisfying than hearing customer feedback about our microgreens from the chefs we work with.  While we used to push our local, pedal-powered model as a reason to buy our microgreens we now just remind chefs that this is the freshest product they could possibly have in their kitchen. Their freshness means they last longer in storage - so kitchens have no waste.

You could find us and our tasty microgreens at two farmers markets throughout the summer in Vancouver: East Vancouver Farmers Market at Trout Lake and Main Street Farmers Market at Pacific Central Station. We may make an appearance at the Nat Bailey Market later this winter, but only time will tell...
